The History of Isbell Farms

Leroy Isbell, 82, the owner and operater of Isbell Farms, began rice farming after returning from WWII. As the son and grandson of cotton farmers, Leroy was quite familiar with agricultural life. With the GI bill, he was able to support himself as he built his farm by slowly accumulating acreage, working hard and taking risk. Isbell Farms is now comprised of over 2500 acres of land and represents four generations.
